|A Mathematician’s Apology
G.H. Hardy, C.P. Snow
|G.H. Hardy was one of the best British mathematicians of the first half of the 20th century. He worked together with Littlewood and Ramanujan. In 1931 Hardy returned as a fellow to Christ’s College in Cambridge, where he met the newly appointed fellow CP Snow. Their love for cricket made them friends for life.
The apology is preceded by an introduction by CP Snow, which is almost a small biography in itself.
