Dr. Paul Farmer receives Human Rights Award

At this moment I am reading the shocking account by Paul Farmer: Pathologies of Power. In his highly documented book Dr. Farmer makes a plea for a definition of human rights that would enclude basic necessities as food, shelter and health. As an anthropologist and physician with long experience in countries like Haiti and Mexico (Chiapas) he is well placed to make his funded comments.

tango in Barcelona

Barcelona is zo’n stad waar het leuk is om met de camera rond te lopen. Overal zie je wel wat dat de moeite waard is. Ik fotografeer vooral graag mensen, maar doe dit niet graag zonder toestemming. Maar in dit geval was toestemming niet nodig. Dit koppeltje danst de tango om centjes te verdienen en ze worden continu gefotografeerd.
Ik vond het een goed idee om hen te accentueren door de achtergrond sepia te maken. Leve Photoshop.
